AN ANTHOLOGICAL RESEARCH ON GREEN CITIES’ SUSTAINABILITY AND CONSERVATION APPROACHES OF BIODIVERSITY

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2023, Hakan Cora, Elnur Hasan Mikail, Ali Nazmi Cora)

Urban areas are very rich in terms of biodiversity. The study's goal in this context is to develop proposals to ensure the sustainability of biodiversity, particularly in urban areas, by emphasizing the significance of biological diversity, which is the most important component of ecological systems and biological processes. Furthermore, it is intended to be a resource to be used in future studies on biological diversity, particularly in the context of the importance and sustainability of urban biodiversity. Biodi...

ANALYSIS OF URBAN TRAFFIC POLLUTION UNDER SUMMER AND WINTER CONDITIONS

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2023, Spiru Paraschiv)

Urban pollution caused by traffic has become a global issue in recent years. Urban pollution is significantly influenced by weather conditions, and the study examines the impact of meteorological parameters such as temperature, solar radiation, precipitation, atmospheric pressure, and wind speed on the pollution levels of O3, NO, NO2, NOx, and SO2 in summer compared to winter. During summer, the average concentration of O3 is higher than in winter, while the average concentrations of NO2, NO, NOx, which are precur...

CREATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE LOCAL GEODETIC SUPPORT NETWORK IN THE VILLAGE OF “SPARITE”

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2023, Armands Celms, Toms Lidumnieks, Aivars Ratkevics)

Geodesy is a very ancient science. The beginnings can be found in Egypt. The field ofscience is closely related to astronomy, geophysics, geology, geometry, etc. Planet Earthis in the process of evolution. Earth’s crust together with the upper mantle is incontinuous motion: horizontally and vertically. Movement of the Earth’s crust as aresult, lithospheric plates move, creating mountains and valleys, changing coastlines, changing sea and ocean levels. Earth’s internal and external (Sun and Moon) forcesresult ...

DEVICE FOR MEASUREMENT OF HORIZONTAL FORCES ON A CRANE RUNWAY

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2023, Josef Musilek, Jan Plachy)

The overhead bridge crane generates transverse horizontal forces as it travels along the crane runway. Transverse horizontal forces are caused by the braking of the crab and also by the crane's own travel, which is not straight due to the imperfections of the crane and the crane runway. This kind of forces can be called forces caused by skewing of crane. There are several interpretations for the crane skewing, from which various computational models are based. Individual interpretations, however, differ both in te...

DRONES AND URBAN QUALITY OF LIFE: A CONCEPT OF SOCIAL ASSESSMENT METHOD

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2023, Andrzej Wieczorek, Kinga Stecula, Bartosz Orzel, Jan Kazmierczak)

In every sphere of human life, its proper quality is important. Therefore, quality of life is of interest to various fields of knowledge, including philosophy, psychology, sociology, medicine, etc. The quality of life also is important for engineers who have an impact on the technosphere, i.e., technical means whose features (construction, operational, condition and ergonomic), determine the quality of human life – user or operator of the given technical mean. Shaping these features at the stages of the life cyc...

FUNCTIONALITIES OF CAR SEATS WOVEN USING NATURALLY-DYED HANJI YARN

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2023, Jin Soun Jung)

This study aims to develop eco-friendly car seats using hanji yarn. To this end, fabricsfor car seats were woven with polyester yarn as the warp and 100% hanji yarn dyedwith gallnut, acacia, mulberry leaves and indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) as the weft. Thefollowing conclusions were drawn after evaluating the anti-fogging properties, odor, antimicrobial activity, and UV protection effects of the fabrics. First, all four types ofnaturally-dyed hanji fabrics showed excellent anti-fogging properties at 10 percent orle...

THE REALIZATION OF THE GENERAL URBAN PLAN IN LUP?A COMMUNE, ALBA COUNTY, IN ORDER TO ANALYZE THE EVOLUTION OF THE URBAN SPACE

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2023, Andreea Begov Ungur, Petronela Petru?a)

The realization of a General Urban Plan is an essential tool for analyzing the evolution of the urban space over time. The General Urban Plan (GUP) is a comprehensive planning document that outlines the long-term development goals and policies for a city or municipality. The GUP typically includes an analysis of current conditions, including population, land use, transportation, infrastructure, and natural resources. The GUP, together with the related Local Urban Planning Regulation, includes mandatory rules for a...

UAVs IN SMART CITIES: PUBLIC PERCEPTION PROBLEMATICS

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2023, Bartosz Orzel, Kinga Stecula, Andrzej Wieczorek, Jan Kazmierczak)

The city environment surrounds its inhabitants with various technical means that support them every day. These means include unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), that is drones. The presence of drones in cities, including smart cities, may cause controversy among residents related to the threat to the safety of using drones, interference with privacy, emitted sounds, monitoring, and other discomfort. Therefore, in the stage of increasing drone prevalence of the use in smart cities, the social perception of them by res...
