In our paper we will talk about the diversity of religious expressions through the writings of psalms in Franz Liszt’s creation, that appears to us as a micro-cosmos of the romantic period, with an expressiveness that underlines the finest differences between possible human feelings in relation to Divinity. Glory, gentleness, hope, despair, all of these are typically valid human feelings, which David’s Psalms synthesize with grace, and Liszt has managed to faithfully voice.
