DETERMINATION OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTIONS FOR A NEW ESTABLISHED SLAUGHTERHOUSE BY-PRODUCT PROCESSING PLANT’S PRODUCT MANUFACTURING ACTIVITIES
Abstract
Nowadays is the industrial by-products processing is very actual topic in food industry, because of the cost reduction and profit raising of companies. In the slaughterhouses producing a huge amount of by-product during the product manufacturing activities, that it could be processing for valuable main products for example cosmetics or petfood product and biogas or natural fertilizers. The first most important question the determination of the main processing direction, next step is the determination of the direction and the level of product development and the last the waste and emission reducing with recycling activity. The most important is determination of the main product developing direction with market research activity to raise the profit to the maximum and reduce the wastes and harmful emission to the minimum level to satisfy increasingly stricter regulations of the European Union. Our main direction for the product development is the petfood manufacturing in premium category. The most important characteristics of the petfood products are the toxin-free and nutritional value, because of the animal health and animal welfare and it is also important the consideration of the environmental aspects during the production, for example the harmful emission reduction and the wastes recycling.
