ARHETYPE OF WATER IN THE SILVER AGE POETRY

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the study of water archetype in the poetic texts of the Silver Age. The paper presents a theory of the study of the concept “archetype”. Philosophers, linguists and psychologists have been interested in a matter of what an archetype is for a long time The majority of scientists agree that an archetype is an archaic phenomenon, which manifests itself in myths and folklore. Special attention in the article has been given to the distinction between the linguistic and artistic metaphors-archetypes. The paper strives to feature the issue of the semantics of the water space in a poetic text. We concentrate on the analysis of the water archetype in the lyrical texts of literature of the Silver Age, the interaction and bonds between the images of water and ancient texts. Current research is focused on the traditional rhyme, which absorbed structural and se-mantic variations. The paper ends with the conclusions on how the water archetype per-forms its functions in the poetic texts of the Silver Age.
