Abstract

The image of the state created by another nation, would seriously affect his image, so the image of the state should be studied comprehensively. Research should not only sociological character, but also needs to involve related Humanities as psychology, linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics. Our study aims to identify Russia's image in the language consciousness of French on the material of the directional associative experiment. The experiment was conducted among the French two generational groups from 17 to 35, from 36 to 70, which was attended by 100 people. The choice of topic is not random, since the geopolitical changes of the Russian state in the modern world cause different reactions that affect the image as a whole. The relevance of the topic due to the fact that, first, studies of intercultural communication are one of the priority directions of modern linguistics, aimed at revealing the anthropocentric paradigm of science. Second, ethnopsycholinguistics research join the world cultural Foundation, identifying the total and national-cultural specificity of language consciousness. Research methods: a directed associative experiment, the method of unfinished sentences, the semantic Gestalt method, statistical method, descriptive method.
