FORCED VIBRATIONS OF FRAME BUILDINGS UNDER PERIODIC LOADINGS
Abstract
There are a lot of structural mechanics' problems which associated with buildings working under dynamic loading conditions; many existing methods of the solution of dynamic tasks consider a simplified model of a real building. Normally internal friction is not considered. Number of degrees of freedom is limited. Exitation forces are simulated simplistically: system's response to a single (usually instant) impulse is investigated, more complex loadings (groups of impulses) are being studied for a single-degree-of-freedom model. This paper describes the research of the dynamic responce of a discrete dissipative system under a triangular shaped periodic loading. The linear elastic calculation of a multi-storey frame building under wind loading was made to illustrate the efficiency of the time analysis method. The reaction of the frame building by varying the parameters of the wind loading was evaluated.
