Abstract

The article deals with the problem of semantic relations of definite/indefinite nouns based on the example of the Russian printed mass media. These relations have rich potential for the investigation of this category from the point of cognitive approach. The novelty of the study is in the authors' attempt to represent the frame structure of morpho-syntactic category of definiteness/indefiniteness in the language of modern Russian media texts. The ground for the study of the above mentioned category is in its conceptual and cognitive status that enables the investigation of the means used to express the meaning of definiteness/indefiniteness belonging to different levels of the language.
