Abstract

The institutionality of discourse as a qualitative parameter of its functioning has already become an axiom for linguists. However, the problem of studying the mechanisms of discourse impact in social practices remains relevant. The instrumental function of discourse is not limited to influence. It is active in the construction of many types of social and interpersonal relationships. What mechanisms and technological programs can control the process of discourse influence? What is the role of event concepts, cognitive scenarios, mental models and context of pragmatic focusing of the impacting discourse in these processes? What can be qualified as a measure of impact in this case? These problems are under consideration in the article presented by the abstract. We would like to present the explanatory theory with applied orientation. Our arguments are built on the basis of research in the aspects of cognitive mechanisms of discourse influence, technologies for creating and examining discourse impact in various spheres of social practices, techniques for making strategic decisions dictated by the intrinsic essential parameters of the problem itself and external factors. We’ve tried to demonstrate, how exactly the tools of communication (for instance, decision making) become the instruments of social construction and reconstruction. Our research methodology is based on conceptual analysis, discourse analysis, metal modeling, scenario planning. We’ve made a conclusion, that studying discourse from the point of view of its impact potential allows to define the basic parameters and algorithms of impact technologies and to describe them through a system of indicators. These indicators are the sub-strategies of discourse, both universal and specific for constructing social relations in specific areas of social practices.
