THE STUDY OF GENRES STUCTURES IN RUSSIAN ORAL SCIENTIFIC COMMUNICATION (PRAGMALINGUISTIC ANALYSIS)
Abstract
The paper presents the concept of genres structure in Russian oral scientific communication and is aimed at researching their specific linguistic and extralinguistic features including prosodic aspect of speech. In the frames of the development of pragmalinguistics and the theory of speech genres during the last decades, the concept of “oral scientific (professional) communication” gains the important place in society linguistic life and becomes more and more relevant in studies of academic discourse and public speech on scientific themes. The significance of the subject becomes apparent since this theme was not sufficiently explored previously both in Russia and abroad thus the special accent is made on comparative analysis of linguistic cognitive mechanisms relevant for formation of oral and written scientific discourse. The study is implemented on the basis of the real oral texts on science topics. The introduction of methods of collecting and processing the materials, compilation of block of oral scientific texts assists to the progress of corpus linguistics in professional sphere of communication. Realization of the project provides the following expected results: textual presentation of the registered oral scientific professional speech with introduction of prosodic marking; depiction of themes, situations and genres of oral scientific speech which correlate to specificity of text structure and composition, revelation of peculiarities in lexis and syntax of such texts, execution of comparative analysis of linguistic cognitive mechanisms for formation of oral and written scientific discourse, functional and semantic description of means which provide textual integrity. Fundamental nature of the research topic is reinforced by the fact that detection of linguistic specificity of oral scientific (professional) communication will foster development of theoretical, descriptive and applied linguistics as well as to anthropocentric paradigm of knowledge. The concepts, principles and methods of investigation introduced in the project can serve as the basis for pragmalinguistic researches in other spheres of oral communication of contemporary Russian socium.
