RELATIONSHIP SLOVAK LANGUAGE AND PHILOSOPHY IN THE CONTEXT OF EDUCATION IN THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL

Abstract

Philosophy is one of the standard disciplines of knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to map out the intermediate relationships among subjects that arise in schools where philosophy is taught. It also includes secondary grammar schools. This paper is an attempt to map the basic areas of the penetration of the curricular relations between philosophy and the subject of Slovak language and literature. It is a subject that is composed of several parts. In the area of the Slovak language and literature two basic units can be distinguished, each of which has a certain relation to philosophy in its own way. They are literature itself in the historical understanding and the theory of language. In the first place we will pay attention to the relationship of philosophy and literature. In the next part, we will focus on the philosophical correlations of language theory, which is also an integral part of the subject. Finally, we will also analyze some aspects of essay and style of expression in relation to philosophy. We will strive for the historical concept of literature and describe the links with the history of philosophy as well as the grasp of the context of philosophy and the theory of language.
