MUSIC- TEXT SYMBIOSIS IN DANIELA COJOCARU'S EVENING OF BRASS LIED
Abstract
The lied, this small-scale musical genre, is a highly concentrated musical expression of the poetic text. The music of a lied is closely related to poetry, the musical genre being a whole in which each of the two coordinates has the same importance. Music - poetry relationships are intertwined, influencing each other. In the Evening of Brass lied by Daniela Cojocaru the close relationship between text and music is obvious, and this relationship has influenced a number of new ways of artistic expression.
