GAMIFICATION IN CORPORATE EDUCATION: RUSSIAN PRACTICE

Abstract

Gamification in education can be considered as the algorithm of use of the game elements and game thinking in the educational process in order to archive the educational and training objectives. This process that involves internal motivation and engagement in a greater level, is more innovative, helps not only to archive educational tasks faster but to incorporate new experience into existing pool of knowledge. The article systematizes social and educational functions of gamification, introduces the description of types of the interactive learning events and presents main approaches of the application of gamification in the professional communication practices and business processes. Being more developed in western countries, gamification also starts to be used as the method in Russian business community to enhance the performance of managers and employees in general. The publication presents theoretical hypothesis and experimental data on the implementation of gamification practices in education of employees and corporate culture in large Russian financial institution.
