DERIVATIONAL-SEMANTIC MODELS WITHIN THE NAMES OF PERSONS IN MODERN RUSSIAN
Abstract
The author of the article suggests an analysis of the names of a person in modern Russian from the point of view of wordsВ’ structural and semantic features and she made an attempt to separate neostructured words in accordance with their derivational-semantic models, according to which semantic derivation took place. In each model subgroups of nouns (united by the word-formation potential and similar semes) are observed. All neostructured words are examined from the point of view of the basic processes of semantic derivation: modification and transfer of meaning. Cases of expansion and narrowing of the derived nomination semantic are described, examples of metaphorical and metonymic transfer are given.
