IMPACT OF EDUCATION ON OVERAL SUSTAINABLE DEVLOPMENT IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
Abstract
Education of young people through a quality education system and in line with the requirements of the time is the main goal for each country, especially for developing countries. In the case of Kosovo characterized by the young population and at the same time with a low degree of development economy, the creation of a quality education system should be a top priority. The theoretical part of the paper deals with the advantages and weaknesses of the public and private system in secondary schools as well as the opinions received by students, teachers and parents, while its analytical and practical part reflects the current state of the matter, which is the result of this research. Based on this, the paper focuses on the analysis of education sector in Kosovo, determining the advantages and disadvantages of both, private and public education system taking samples in 6 (six) different schools, respectively 4 (four) Kosovo municipalities. During the research large number of data are analyzed. In order to observe the impacts of the public and private education system in Kosovo in the sustainable development of the country the research has been conducted through different methodologies including qualitative and quantitative methods. The tools used include semi structured interviews and questionnaires for primary data collected whereas the secondary data are based on recent developments in the field and research papers dealing with the problem. This research is indispensable because the future will face problems on identification and needs assessment for well-educated working force that is ultimate to support overall development of the country. Final outcome that paper aims to find is to know what needs to be done and how in order to support the sustainable development in the developing countries.
