TRENDS IN TEACHERВ’S INITIAL EDUCATION

Abstract

In the area of complex issues of the Romanian education, the teachersВ’ initial training represents a modeling action of the student according to the societyВ’s requirements and the Romanian education systemВ’s priority, apparently slightly valorized, but in fact closely correlated with the other components of the education systemВ’s reform in Romania. The present studyВ’s orientation toward the initial issue of teacher education requires the approach of the theme not only from the initial training perspective but also from the competences acquired through the initial training. In this context, it is emerging a new framework of analyses of the training problem - the teaching peculiarities in the contemporary societyВ’s context. The teaching-learning relationship acquires a new degree determined by the societyВ’s informational specificity in the sense of shifting the emphasis from the first component of the relationship to the second one. All these are possible through the development of a social validated values system, if educational reforms are correlated, if the main actors of educational activity are trained in the same spirit, with a common basic competency profile. The teacher is a manager, an educational manager, with a set of general skills comparable to any other managerВ’s skills and anywhere in the world.
