INTERACTION BETWEEN DESIGN EDUCATION: THE EXAMPLE OF “EDIRNE WORKSHOP”
Abstract
Within the scope of the study, how much interaction between educational programs of close disciplines contributes to design education is analyzed over the workshop organized jointly by two state universities in Turkey. As a result of the workshop carried out with the students from architecture, interior architecture and landscape architecture departments which give education in the area of design, the survey study and the findings obtained through these activities have been analyzed within this framework. In this respect, it is aimed at analyzing the effects of the integration of theoretical and practical educational areas with each other and interactive education between disciplines on students who receive design education. In this workshop, students were comprehended the different point of views of design within a limited amount of time in the predetermined study area by separating students who study in the design faculties of two universities into mixed groups.
