RENAISSANCE SCHEMES IN VIDEO ART
Abstract
As the title implies the article deals with works of Video art based on paintings of Renaissance epoch. It is spoken in detail about works of Hermine Freed, Bill Viola, the group AES+F. Much attention is given to the detailed analysis of links between paintings and their video transformations. The article shows parallels in composition, color schemes, semantic and formal transformations.
