QUALITY ENHANCEMENT STRATEGIES OF SERVICES OF TECHNICAL HIGHER EDUCATION BY STUDYING STUDENT PERCEPTIONS
Abstract
The present paper proposes to identify the perception of the students of University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, the largest technical university in Romania, regarding the quality of the university educational services through a quantitative, descriptive research. This study is a conclusive research, the collected data being the subject of a quantitative analysis. Their purpose is to test hypotheses and to analyze the relationships between variables. The sample consists of students from the master and doctoral courses who have had an experience with the university. Perception is a psychological variable of consumer behavior and there cant exist without any previous experience. The tool used is the questionnaire, consisting of closed and open questions, with multiple ways of response. Following the analysis of the perception, several strategies have been proposed to increase the quality of services of technical higher education, including: target market identification and periodic review of study programs in line with market requirements and technology development. The limits of the research are given by the researched collectivity, the sample being not statistically representative.
