METAPHORICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE ORDER AND NEORENAISSANCE STYLE IN THE ARCHITECTURE OF ST. PETERSBURG OF THE XIX CENTURY
Abstract
In the article analyzes the classical basics of architecture order. Set out wider in comparison with the traditional academic approach to understanding the principle of an ordination. On this basis eliminates the question about the division of architecture to "an order" and " without order." The examples of architectural monuments of St. Petersburg shows the use of order elements in the Russian architecture of the middle and second half of the XIX century, known as "Neorenaissance style." Marked variety of neorenaissance buildings, erected in St. Petersburg, by russian and foreign architects.
