PROFESSIONAL DEFORMATION CORRELATION WITH BURNOUT BETWEEN AIRLINE CABIN CREW
Abstract
Professional deformation and burnout in our days are more and more recognized in many professions also in aviation industry. Aircraft cabin service staff starting work completely unaware that the work is physically and emotionally very heavy. This research task is to find are there professional deformation and burnout symptoms of them among cabin crew. The aim of research paper is to find is there professional deformation and burnout between cabin crew and is there any correlation between them. Research methods: Reasons for Burnout Questionnaire (made by authors); Professional Deformation Questionnaire (made by authors); Maslach Burnout Inventory. Research questions: Are there signs of professional deformation among cabin crew? Are there signs of burnout among cabin crew? Is there correlation between professional deformation and burnout? There was given out 284 questionnaires to cabin crew and 94 of them were returned. Research result shows that cabin crew have signs of professional deformation and burnout. And that these symptoms are interrelated.
