The current study is focused on the influence of Nikolai Yakovlevich Grot (1852-1899) on the formation and institutionalization processes in Russian philosophy in the late 1880s. As the editor of the journal “Questions of Philosophy and Psychology” (Voprosi filosofii I psikhologii), Grot transforms this edition into the first press organ which accepts all the philosophical trends.
