BUILDING RELATIONSHIP WITH AFRICA: CASE OF UKRAINE

Abstract

This article is devoted for studying the forms and directions of cooperation between Ukraine and African countries, the analysis of the negative and positive aspects of this process, its perspectives and role in modern world politics and economics. The relevance of the research topic comes from the need to study the process of cooperation between the countries of the developing regions of the world in the economic and political spheres. Secondary actors of world politics are the objects of study in all three main paradigms of international relations. This thesis comes from the fact that the main regional players don't have the opportunity to increase their potential on a global scale without the support of regional partners. The chronological scope of the study covers the period from 2001 to 2015. They are since the beginning of the 21st century, and before the revolutionary events in Ukraine that led to the change of power, was the period of the closest Afro-Ukrainian relations. The main tasks of the study are: identify the most important trade-economic and political trends of interaction between Ukraine and African countries; analyze the reasons for the increase in African-Ukrainian contacts; consider the current state of relations between Ukraine and the African countries. Because of the study, a wide range of conclusions on cooperation between the countries of the developing regions of the world and prospects for the development of a dialogue between them are proposed. In addition, the author resorted to a wide range of sources and literature, which helped to outline the main mechanisms of multilateral interaction.
