AN OUTLINE OF INFLECTIONAL MORPHOLOGY OF THE NOUN IN VAKH KHANTY
Abstract
This study presents findings resulting from a comparative analysis of the system of nominal morphological markers attested by various researchers and observed in the research trips to Vakh Khanty. The analysis focused on the morphological markers that form paradigms of three nominal categories: number, possession and case. It aimed at systematizing the linguistic data in the Vakh Khanty dialect. A comparative analysis of the paradigms of morphological makers has revealed some controversial issues regarding their forms and presence. The controversy mostly concerns the contents of the category of case and forms of case markers
