STANDARDS OF HOSPITALITY IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURIST DESTINATIONS
Abstract
The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) highlights the importance of the ethical aspects of tourism development, and the quality of tourism services. A number of international legal acts and projects regulate matters of service quality and availability of tourism. In many countries, these provisions are implemented in national legislation. The Russian practice remains far behind, and these issues have been neglected in the course of the management of tourist destinations. Russia has developed a national system of standardization in tourism, the companies use internal standards of servicing, but there are no provisions governing the requirements and parameters of еру comfortable and safe tourists' environment in the territory of destination. This article brings forth the problem of developing a set of standards of hospitality at the regional level, so that their provisions could be used by enterprises of the industry and tourism infrastructure in order to improve servicing. In this case, according to the authors, a synergistic effect will be achieved to form a specific environment and an atmosphere of hospitality in the region.
