THE ROLE OF LEADERВ’S ETHICS MOTIVATING EMPLOYEES IN THE TOURISM ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

Leaders and their role in organizations management are some of the most analyzed subjects in organizations management. Specifically in tourism organizations leader is the person who plans, manages, organized, monitors and motivates employees in all of these functions and processes. Thus leaderВ’s role is essential gaining competitive advantage in the tourism organizations. One of the leaderВ’s role issues is ethics and how ethical behavior influences the motivation of employees. Accordingly the aim of this article is to determine the role of leaderВ’s ethics motivating employees in the tourism organizations. On purpose to solve this aim there was used quantitative questionnaire in this article. The respondents of this research were collected from the tourism organizations in Lithuania. The Cronbach Alfa was 0.95 of 30 questions about leaderВ’s ethics from 288 gathered filled questionnaires. This inner consistence of the research states the research data is adequate and reliable. The research results confirmed that leaderВ’s ethics is related to employeesВ’ motivation for work in the tourism organizations as this relation found and approved other scientists. The research results revealed that leaderВ’s ethics is considered as respect and fairness among employees. Accordingly employees do not see leaderВ’s behavior as example to follow it. Thus the employees are motivated insufficiently in the tourism organizations.
