MUTUAL TRANSACTIONS IN GROUP PURCHASING ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

Background: Managers are looking for methods and tools that will allow their enterprises to function safely and be competitive in the market and develop systematically . The simplest solution applied mainly in the commercial sector is functioning in a group purchasing organization. Such groups are mainly associated with joint purchases and the use of economies of scale. However, within the group purchasing organization of an enterprise, in addition to common purchasing power, they are able to use various types of mutual transactions. Mutual transactions carried out in the groups have a big impact on the safety of the functioning of individuals and on an improvement of their competitive position. The purpose of the article is to present mutual transactions occurring in group purchasing organizations and presenting their impact on the financial situation of enterprises. Methods: The analysis was carried out on the example of 30 enterprises operating in two group purchasing organizations. For the research the financial data from the balance sheet and profit and loss account from 2016 was applied. Results: The analysis allowed determining which mutual transactions and with what force affect the safety and competitiveness of enterprises. Conclusions: The research conducted indicates the branch group purchasing organization as a unit where the use of mutual transactions brings about the greatest effect. The analysis determines what type of mutual transactions should be used to improve financial liquidity or to strengthen the company position in the market.
