IMPROVEMENT OF METHODS OF AUTOMATED ESTIMATION OF THE FORMATION OF BASIC COMPETENCIES ON MATHEMATICS BASED ON FUZZY LOGIC

Abstract

This article is devoted to the actual problem of forming a system of independent evaluation and self-assessment of basic and professional competences in mathematics (with the mastery of programs of secondary general education and vocational education) on the basis of fuzzy modeling in the digital economy. The methodological basis for solving this problem was a synergetic approach. In the context of improving the methods of pedagogical diagnostics, this approach determines the interrelation between the diagnostic activity of a teacher and the self-diagnostic activity of trainees, when the functions of diagnostics and control develop into functions of self-knowledge, self-regulation and self-development of a learner's personality. The pedagogical feasibility of realizing the possibilities of mathematical methods in the control and evaluation of knowledge based on modern achievements in science is substantiated. A formal-structural model of fuzzy estimation of mathematical knowledge that enhances the transparency and objectivity of evaluation is constructed and investigated. The possibility of application of fuzzy logic methods in automated systems of control of mathematical knowledge of trainees as part of adaptive learning systems is considered and realized. The represented automated control systems take into account the shortcomings of modern pedagogical testing programs, namely: a limited number of forms for presenting answers, a two-point assessment system, and rigidity of procedures for calculating the final grade. The experience of introducing methods of automated assessment of the formation of basic competences in mathematics on the basis of fuzzy modeling established the reliability of results with inaccurate input data of diagnostic tasks, made it possible to improve the quality of management of the learning process, its overall performance.
