Abstract

Currently there is a clearly expressed public need for organizing intergenerational communication in the digital environment with the purpose of transmitting cultural memory of the older (“analog”) generation. Such transmission determines the possibility of memory perception by the “digital” generation in the process of its socialization and realization of their cultural identity. The article is devoted to the development of methodology and private methods of research of communicative-cultural memory and features of its transmission from the “analog” to the “digital” generation of Russians. Based on the Jan and Aleida Assmann’s memory theory, the authors concluded that communicative-cultural memory is used in the digital environment in every moment of communication. This type of memory is syncretic; it provides the integrity of perception, but it also transforms, unlike the "frozen forms" of cultural memory. It is determined that the synergistic effect of the study of communicative-cultural memory and features of its transmission can be achieved as a result of the application of socio-communicative, cognitive and structural-semiotic methodological approaches, as well as socio-culturological and linguistic methods.
