COMPENSATORY COMMUNICATION ON THE INTERNET AND PERSONALITY
Abstract
The article analyzes the problem of compensatory communication in a modern communicative situation. The defining influence on the world of communication these days has been performed by the development of new social networks. For example, the Internet has greatly expanded the sphere of people's information interaction and its opportunities as a means of communication and socialization. Communication in networks can compensate some deformations in the structure of direct interpersonal communication that is subjectively experienced by a person as loneliness. Then, communication on the Internet acts as a compensatory communication. But the phenomenon of compensatory communication has deep historical roots. It has developed simultaneously with the development of human culture and with the development of forms and means of communication. Compensatory (filling, balancing) communication has always been aimed at harmonizing the communicative world of the individual. Compensatory communication or "communication for the sake of communication", communication for the sake of the values that it contains (intellectual, emotional, etc.) has always been aimed at correcting the defects of everyday, monotonous, everyday communication. Compensatory communication is a superstructure over communication "interwoven" into the habitual objective activity of a person. However, compensation may be different. The main significance is that it is compensated, in what way and what transformations the personality undergoes as a result of specific compensatory interactions. Compensatory communication is antinomical, although like any communication, by its nature. As a result of harmonization via compensatory communication, both (+) harmony and (-) harmony - illusory (imaginary) compensation can be established. The latter is especially dangerous, because it contributes to degradation and destruction of the individual. In uncontrolled compensatory communication in the network, these processes gain great strength and scale. Only the constant attention of the general public and organizations to the processes taking place in the Internet space and the formation of a sense of moral responsibility among the subjects of network communication will allow us to overcome negative trends in its functioning and development
