FACTORS INFLUENCING INNOVATION CLUSTERS DEVELOPMENT IN ROMANIA
Abstract
The main field of study for the article topic is the innovation clusters concept, a brief history about clusters and how are becoming more and more essential for innovation development. The functioning of innovation is based on cooperation and collaboration between entities, allowing orchestration of activities, new technologies and adopting solutions based on the market needs. Proximity is often correlated with cooperation, better use of nfrastructure and built of science and tech parks as a way of increasing economies. The scope of this analysis leads towards a focus on types of factors which help development of innovation (innovative clusters) in general, with a focus on the technology and research and development nvironment in Romania. The methodology applied is summarized as follows: analysis of existing literature on the topic of innovative clustering, main contributions, the linkage with innovation and main trends worldwide, and interpretation of data gathered from the Global Innovation Index (GII) and local secondary sources, identifying the main factors which could influence forming potential innovation cluster on the Romanian territory. Analyzing the context which the linkages across innovation ecosystems and sectors are thriving and growing can further give some insight over the economies evolution further on
