NOTIONS OF STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE SOCIAL WORK PROFESSION ABOUT THE IMAGE OF SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES AS POTENTIAL PLACES FOR EMPLOYMENT
Abstract
In modern Russian conditions, the system of social services is being upgraded. These processes are regulated by the new Federal Law "On the foundations of social services to citizens in the Russian Federation", which entered into force on 1 January 2015. According to this law, any legal entities and individual entrepreneurs might be social service providers. And clients are entitled to choose the supplier of services and to participate in the drafting of individual programs. In this situation, the social service agencies are beginning to compete with each other. They are forced to reflect on their competitiveness and attractiveness for actual and potential beneficiaries and professionals, to plan activities aimed at creating a favorable image. The essence of the study is to explore the stereotypes and notions of students enrolled in the social work profession about the image of the state and non-state institutions of social service as potential places for employment. We interviewed 115 students. The results can be used in the practical organization of social institutions to form a development strategy.
