VOLUME AND STRUCTURE OF PUBLIC EXPENDITURES IN REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA
Abstract
Studies confirm that in countries with low national incomes, the structure of public expenditures has a significant impact on the economic situation of the country. Great place in literature and analysis solution takes on the structure of public expenditures, which in the biggest cases are divided into productive and non-productive, and realize the individual effects of each part of the structure of the budgets. Public spending on salaries are negatively correlated with economic growth, while public spending on goods and services, in particular capital expenditures significantly affect economic growth. From this aspect, public expenditure in the Republic of Macedonia does not have adequate istructure, large scale of salaries and allowances, a small volume of goods and services and insufficient spending on capital investments. Capital expenditures are a significant component of long-term economic growth, ie that their effects on productivity are the most major of any other expenses for financial assets financed new investment, reconstruction of existing facilities, equipment and modernization. Public spending affect economic growth if effected the growth of the capital or productivity growth.
