GAME-BASED PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION STUDENTS TRAINING

Abstract

In the modern scientific research, there are developments dealing with the problems of professional communication of the future professionals in the areas of teaching, law, economics, etc. However, not enough attention is paid to the problems related to professional communication of the social work specialists. In this respect, improvement of the training process suggests inclusion of the game as a training tool modelling in a suitable way the future professional environment. As the game unfolds, improved are the most important professional skills and qualities (including those needed for effective communication) of the future social work specialists and related with improvement of the interpersonal relationships, manifestation of empathy and creation of conditions for self-expression. Regardless of the obvious advantages of the game not only as a training method but also as a method for formation of professionally significant personal qualities for communication in the future social worker, its presence in the training process is still unconvincing at the background of the wide use of the traditional forms of teaching tools, i.e. lectures, practicals, seminars, etc. In this connection, the main purpose of this article is to justify the necessity of its wider inclusion in the university training process through an experimental study proving is positive effect on the development of communication skills.
