THE ECONOMICAL EFFECTS OF AN ACCOMODATION STRUCTURE OVER THE TERRITORY
Abstract
This work represents a theoretical analysis of a quite complex problem that involves economic activity process of an accommodation structure and the impact it has within the territory where implanted, trying to observe the effects they may generate on the local economy. A first step in the analysis of the economic effects that can have an accommodation unit on the local territorial system was an extensive literature review of some economical and geographical works. Also in achievement the work I used the analysis of economic studies to highlight the effects that tourism can have over the economy of a territory. Impact of the tourism activities in economical point of view was and is still a constant concern of researchers and specialists. Touristic activity of an accommodation unit can have both positive and negative effects on the territory. This assessment of the positive or negative effects depends mostly on observer. For example, increasing the accommodation capacity of pensions to a certain tourist area will create new jobs (both for people who will be engaged for the construction work and for people which will be employed for efficient operation pension). Another observer can highlight the negative effects of creating new jobs, namely that these jobs will be mostly part-time, will require low employees training, salaries will be modest with fewer opportunities for advancement.
