LINGUISTIC MODELING OF PRAYER TEXTS SPACE(BASED ON GERMAN-LANGUAGE MATERIALS)
Abstract
The article deals with the specificity of space model in the language world view of a religious person from the position of cognitive linguistic in light of anthropocentric approach. The study is based on the materials of canonical prayer texts from the Bible and modern prayers. As a type of text, a prayer embodies the essence of religion: relationship between the individual and God. It also reflects view points and values of religious society orientations in its concentrated form. Methodology of studying includes complex semantic analyses, interpretative and descriptive and comparative methods. Prayer texts space possesses the following features: orientation, heterogeneity, two worldizm. The most relevant characteristic of the given texts are sacral and physical and geometrical spaces. Having analyzed canonical psalms and modern prayers, we have seen that the space of canonical prayers relates mainly to sacred history and bible events, whereas the geographical space of modern prayers becomes more differentiated. It appeals to the world as a whole describing particular landmarks: hot spots of the globe, poor regions, homeland of a praying person and private space of a modern human being.
