Abstract

Today innovation activity is considered as one of the main conditions for the modernization of the economy and one of the main indicators of competitiveness of the state. The article presents the comparative analysis of innovative activity of Russia and foreign countries and shows the global innovation index of Russia. Based on the analysis, the strong and weak points of the innovation system of Russia have been identified, the main problems hindering the development of innovation activities in Russia have been revealed, and the solutions to the problems of the state have been proposed.
