PROFESSIONAL SOCIALIZATION OF FUTURE CIVIL ENGINEERS AT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

In the modern socio-economic conditions, professional socialization plays a significant role in the process of reproduction of highly qualified specialists, furthermore, it allows to carry out successful entry of a specialist into a professional space, in accordance with the market demands to transform the socio-professional structure of society. Professional space appears as macro-media, creates the conditions for the formation of a specialist with professional competencies, professional culture, professionalism and professional mobility. Carrying out professional activities, modern engineer is faced with a high intensity of interactions in social, professional and cultural areas. While studying at university students gain not only professional knowledge, but also integrate into the professional space through initiation to the professional culture. This article analyzes the features of professional socialization and its perception of the South-West state university students, the impact of modernization of the system of higher education onto professional socialization. As a result, the authors come to the conclusion that professional socialization is mastering professional skills, professional culture and continuous development and improvement of professional abilities. The specifics of the professional socialization of students in the University environment consists in bringing them to scientific and professional activities, the formation of skills and the ability to work with information, correctly apply it when searching solution of the task, skills and development capabilities, increased self-reliance in the process of cognition, taking responsibility for found the solution.
