Abstract

The article deals with the National Qualifications Framework tertiary education in the Czech Republic and its implementation. The theoretical part of the article deals with so-called descriptors. These descriptors are outputs from learning and we use them to describe general abilities, knowledge and skills, which students learn in given subject. The aim of the practical part of the article is to present the way of solutions and outcomes of the project „The innovation of Microeconomics course with a focus on the characteristics of the key descriptors to describe the attainments (knowledge) and skills”. This project intention responds to the need to improve the quality of qualification of graduates of Faculty of Economics and Administration of the University of Pardubice. The course is mandatory standard is taught in the winter semester, first year bachelor degree for all fields of study degree program of Economic Policy and Administration and Economics and Management. The subject is a part of state examination in both study programs. The scope of the project is through a single language to describe the general competence that all the students of this subject acquire and clear, transparent and understandable way to characterize key specialization knowledge and skills of graduates enrolled in relation to their profile specialization.
