Abstract

Camera is a fundamental apparatus in filmmaking. There are many possibilities offered on the market and making a choice is difficult especially for non-professionals or film enthusiasts. It is not always about money one is willing to pay for the technology to make good film. When one is deciding which camera to buy it is good to know what it will be used for. This article deals with the topic of universality of apparatuses and basic premises for the utilisation of camera in movie making. The camera is simply a technical gadget which should serve the filmmaker. It gives them freedom in the range not only of technical possibilities, but especially in the space of their own knowledge of properties of the camera and its accessories. Today shooting is more complicated regarding technical possibilities than it was in the past, when non-professional filmmakers used film or tapes in their cameras. The text documents research of possibilities for quality shooting with the aim of clarifying the functionality of the modern camera so that its possibilities are used for creation. Offer on the market does not take into account creativity. When presenting new cameras, sellers prefer only some parameters such as deph of field, high sensitivity, sensor size, and more. These may not be necessary for the creative essence, and the text analyze these parameters and, as a result of research, they are logically trying to make the right decisions. The text is for youtubers, film entuziast and amateur creators.
