HOMELESS PEOPLE AS A THREAT TO THE DEMOGRAPHIC SECURITY OF THE SOCIETY

Abstract

Demographic security of any state is determined not only by external, but also by internal threats in the population. A growing and quite representative layer of homeless people is a special kind of internal demographic threats. These people almost always fall out of the life of society, both socially and demographically. The presence of a layer of homeless people is multifaceted, because it manifests itself in a variety of ways. The comprehensive scientific research is needed to successfully implement any projects to combat homelessness. At the first place statistical data should be which allow to quantify the scale and development rate of this social phenomenon. To our great regret, at present there are no accurate statistical data on the number of homeless people. There are two reasons to explain: the imperfection of statistical accounting and the complex nature of the object itself. In this paper, an attempt was made to review scientific approaches to the statistical evaluation of the quantitative and qualitative composition of homeless people. The article presents an analysis of sources of possible information about the homeless people. The system of statistics of homeless people is formed. Recommendations for the development of statistics of the homeless people are formed.
