THE PHENOMENON OF INCLUSION IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF PHILOSOPHICAL REFLECTION: RUSSIA ON THE WAY TO THE ACCEPTING SOCIETY
Abstract
The relevance of the research is explained by global socio-cultural transformations affecting all spheres of the Russian society life. These changes actualized the search for mechanisms to overcome social fragmentation due to the political, economic, religious, ethnic and other crises of our time. The desire of society to reach agreement, in the context of sociocultural unity, overcoming the narrowness of the boundaries of "merger", is now transformed into a more voluminous concept of "inclusion". Inclusion in society through the appropriation of cultural markers in the process of multicultural exchange, which is based on the awareness of the importance of Other, different from somebody’s own socio – cultural experience, today gives rise to a new socio-cultural phenomenon — inclusion. The aim of the research is the philosophical reflection of the formation of a new socio – cultural concept of humanism – inclusion as a significant factor in the harmonization of social relations. The main methodological approach to the research the problem is a socio-cultural analysis, enhanced by the possibilities of philosophical reflection. The paper describes different approaches to understanding the concept of inclusion, related both to the inclusion into a single educational space of people with disabilities, and the creation of a single socio-cultural space for all Others in order to overcome all sorts of social discrimination. The problems of formation of inclusion culture in the conditions of modern Russia are analyzed. The factors contributing to the change of attitude to people with disabilities, as well as the mechanisms of successful self-realization of all society members, including Others, are outlined. The paper also presents an analysis of the problems associated with the strengthening of collective identity in the context of erosion of traditional socio-cultural boundaries and their overcoming in the context of self-awareness through/as Another. The findings indicate that the study of inclusion is a key issue in the Humanities and Social Sciences as a strategic resource for overcoming conflict in the modern world. Self-identification through / as Other becomes a necessary condition for the harmonization of modern life and the mechanism of a harmonious accepting society formation.
