ANTI-BIAS EDUCATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS TEACHING IN SECONDARY EDUCATION OF STUDENTS
Abstract
solution of deficiencies in anti-bias education and education towards respect for human rights in secondary education of students in the Slovak Republic. The project responds to the fact that in recent times, not only in Slovakia but also in Europe, we increasingly encounter, also among children and young people, intolerant behaviour towards others - with signs of hostility, fear of otherness stemming from the prejudices about people of another race, national origin, ancestry, of another religion, but also the disabled, and socially backward. Based on research surveys of the current state of human rights teaching at schools, impediments to anti-bias education are diagnosed and subsequently appropriate actions are proposed. The final outputs of the project will be methodological guides, textbooks, workbooks, model case studies and other audio-visual teaching materials.
