MODERNIZATION OF THE RUSSIAN ECONOMY
Abstract
In the article the authors analyze the problem of modernization in Russia, which is currently one of the most important factors of economic development. Modernization is considered as a macro-process of transition from the traditional society to the modern one, which supposes qualitative change of the whole way of life of the country. Studies have shown that society has different views on the concept of the essence of modernization. Many members of society consider this term quite narrowly, most often understanding innovations as a meaning of this term. In particular, there are two points of view on the modernization process among the business elite, which significantly complicates the introduction of the modernization process in the economic life of the country. As a result, it is necessary to define more clearly the concept of modernization and innovations, affecting the economic development and contributing to the formation of Russia on the path of economic modernization. The article describes the difference and similarity between these terms. At the same time, the features of the modernization process are revealed. The complex of measures on modernization and introduction of innovations in the Russian economy is defined, which splits all aspects of the economic life of the country and will positively affect its further development. The authors conclude that only a clear definition of concepts and objectives of modernization, a clear understanding of the process by all members of society and phased implementation will allow Russia to become a modern country with post-industrial society.
