RUSSIAN POLITICAL CULTURE: FEATURES OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS
Abstract
which provides a link between the sphere of social relations, cultural norms and political processes. It is a set of principles that influence political behavior and help systemically structure common values, attitudes, beliefs, and orientations that form the basis of the relationship between an individual, society, and the state. The stability of a political culture is based on such factors as the legitimacy of the existing system and political regime. This article discusses the features of the political culture of Russia, the development of which is largely influenced by the emergence of new social groups, the growth of social inequality, changes in the economic, political and spiritual foundations of society, a reassessment of the past, perception of the present and analysis of future prospects. These processes point to the need to change the estimated, worldview and behavioral benchmarks of society. The formation of modern political culture in Russia is a long process that directly depends on the positive dynamics of the political socialization of new generations, on the pace of development of economic and political relations in the state, as well as on the beginning of the purposeful formation of a political culture corresponding to the political system in the country. In carrying out the study, the authors used general scientific methods of analysis, which include systemic, historical and comparative approaches, as well as general logical methods of cognition as analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction. The theoretical and empirical basis of this article is scientific works of Russian and foreign scientists. As a result, the authors came to the conclusion that the political and cultural changes taking place in Russia indicate that the civil culture in the country is still not formed and still in its infancy. The peculiarities of political culture include the lack of participation in the political life of the general population, the gullibility and political infantilism of the majority of citizens, the weakness of political movements. In the future, Russia needs to solve the presented problems, due to the greater involvement of society in participation in the political life of the country and the removal of existing barriers between the government and citizens.
