POPULISM AS A TOOL IN CREATION OF COMMON FOREIGN AND SECURITY POLICY OF EUROPEAN UNION
Abstract
Creation of Common foreign security policy is determined by many factors. The aim of this paper is to analyze and recognize the populist tendencies in foreign policy making. Foreign policy is one of the most important policies of countries. After the Lisbon Treaty there were the biggest changes in the competences of foreign policy. The main objective of the policy is to keep peace around the world. The process of creation in the policy is difficult because of the member states status. Populism is notable in this context as well. In the Lisbon Treaty there are defined the respect according foreign policy of European Union and High representative. European Union is using national sources of each member state during the processes of direct implementation of foreign policy missions. The paper will be based on secondary sources including concepts of populism and tendencies in foreign policy.
