ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF INCREASING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF MOTOR TRANSPORT ENTERPRISES
Abstract
The key characteristic of the modern economy is the rapid development of all its branches. Automobile transport plays a special role in the development of the economy and is widely used in all sectors of the national economy. Recently the dynamic socio-economic development of the country has led to a significant increase in transport activity. Currently, transport is entering the stage of renovation and development. The system-creating role of transport has been significantly increased, the interrelationship between the objectives of its development and the priorities of socio-economic transformations is growing. At the same time, the main characteristic of the road transport services market is the excess of supply over effective demand in conditions of free price formation and, as a result, intense competition of road transport enterprises in order to maximize profits. The article focuses on the system of factors that determines the competitiveness of road transport enterprises. The significance of each individual factor is different and depends upon the market in which the company works, the nature of competition in it, demand, etc. It should be noted that there is a certain synergistic effect of mutual influence of the considered competitive factors of motor transport services. The presented approach to identifying and classifying factors that determine the competitiveness of a road transport enterprise is based on assumptions under which, by analyzing the factors, it is possible to identify strong and weak points of the activities of business entities in road transport structures and in the work of competitors. On the one hand, it allows to avoid the most acute forms of competition, and on the other, to use their advantages and weak points of the competitor. This approach contributes to the development of measures and means through which an economic entity of road transport could increase the competitiveness of the services provided and achieve its success, change its share in the provision of road services in the relevant market, as well as fully satisfy consumer demand.
