STYLISTIC FEATURES OF THE ROMANIAN LIED CREATION IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY - THE BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURY
Abstract
The Romanian lied after the second half of the 20th century till now has manifested in different ways of expression, both as chamber works with texts of secular inspiration and with texts of religious inspiration. Thus, the lieds composed by the Romanian composers are based on songs, poems or ballads of folkloric inspiration, then the texts of the Romanian poets and also of the foreign poets. Constantin Tufan Stan, in his article published in the Music Magazin, states about lied that: 'By the broad, affective and ideological horizon that music recreates artistically in the meloman's consciousness, its correspondence with the poetic image itself has always represented an essential preoccupation. Every composer, naturally and necessarily, opens his pores of receptivity and sensitivity to certain poetic genres, certain compositional structures, semantic or ethos levels, which, subordinated or circumscribed to their own musical language, succeed in living in that happy poetic-musical symbiosis called lied.'
