Abstract

In the modern world, there are tendencies to form the economy of a new type of economy - the digital economy. The formation of a new economy is associated with the intensification of various risks. In this regard, insurance is the main source of incentives for production activities and economic growth, which provides the conditions for protecting property interests. Losses arising from unforeseen factors (economic, political, social, etc.), cause an objective need for insurance. In all developed countries of the world, insurance is one of the key ways to minimize and eliminate economic losses, which is not only a guarantor of compensation for incurred losses. The insurance market is also one of the largest institutional investors. The article considers analytical data on the development of the insurance market in various countries of the world. The features of the insurance market of the leading countries in terms of insurance premiums are revealed. The conclusion is made that the progressive development of the national insurance market is impossible without integration into the world insurance system. The study of the peculiarities of the organization of insurance business is important for the development of the world market of insurance services.
