THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL CRISIS ON NGOS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Abstract
Non-governmental non-profit organizations have an important place in the society of the 21st century in the Czech Republic. These organizations involve civic associations, public benefit organizations, foundations and endowment funds, the Churches and religious societies. The research is focused on the impact of the financial crisis on the NGOs. The impact was observed in the area of the financial resources and the reactions of the organization's management. It was studied through a questionnaire survey. About one thousand NGOs were interviewed with the survey. The financial crisis has had an impact on organizations, particularly evident in the drop-off in revenue and changes in their structure. Management made changes especially in the structure and ways of acquiring financial resources and reducing costs associated with the activities of the organization.
