RISK INFLUENCE ON THE WELFARE OF INDIVIDUAL AND THE AREA OF RESIDENCE

Abstract

The welfare of individual and the area of residence is constantly exposed to various risks, the influence of which reduces its level. The authors proposed constitutive types of risks to the welfare of individual and the area of residence, such as risks of impoverishment, health disorders, death from external causes, decline in industrial production, financial depression, disruption in the normal operation of labor market. They determined the chains of risk influence on welfare indicators for example regions included in the Ural Federal District. The authors used various methods to assess the risk influence (factors) on indicators describing the welfare of individual and the area of residence (responses). The quantitative type of factor and response, as well as the nature of their distribution, determined the choice of Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients for assessing the influence. Calculations of correlation coefficients for a number of chains confirmed empirical assumptions that the factors may influence the response. The results of study will allow to regulate the level of welfare of individual and the area of residence through risk minimization.
